Rockingham Theatre is the only live non-profit theatre that stages dramas, comedies and musicals for the Community of the City of Rockingham.

Founded in 1969 to raise funds for the Soccer Club it performed the early productions at a school gym hall and later at McLarty Hall. However in the mid 90's, with the help of the City of Rockingham, it acquired the land and built the new theatre at its present location at 8 Attwood Way, Rockingham. It is the building that looks like a castle.

The Rockingham Theatre Company always provides one of its performances for fund raising by local charities and organisations.

The company produces 4 shows a year.

"The Castle"

The immortal story of Christmas by Charles Dickens. The production will be directed by Fred Lawson, who is looking forward to giving theatre patrons a wonderful experience in bringing the famous writings of Dickens to the stage at "The Castle".

THEATRE AUDITIONS

First show for 2007 will be "Fawlty Towers" (March) directed by Alison Gibson. Auditions will be mid January. Watch the Local Papers.

The Company has just installed new seating and renovated the Theatre Bar area to make our patrons' visit to "The Castle" more enjoyable.

Visitors to the Rockingham area who are looking for a night out at the Theatre at reasonable prices, easy parking can also be assured of being welcomed to "The Castle".

The Theatre is also available for hire for seminars etc. at a reasonable cost.
